500 Followers Giveaway3

I am so happy to finally reach a milestone I have been pursuing--500 followers at my Teachers Pay Teachers store!   Some of my favorite teacher-authors are helping me celebrate by offering fabulous resources for the lucky winner of my giveaway. My very creative teacher-author friends are offering a Winner's Choice resource from every store listed. The lucky winner will get to shop in each store and select a resource of their choice--no bundles, $10 limit. That's a lot of fun shopping and a great chance to grab some awesome resources to help you get through the end of the school year stress or maybe grab a few resources to start next year.

Enter the Rafflecopter contest to win this fabulous shopping spree. The contest starts on Thursday, April 28th an ends Monday, May 2nd.  Good luck to you!

LI Loves TpT2                        SampsonsShoppe    A+ Kids   English Oh My   Third Grade Giggles                      Kristin                 Kathleen              Kimberly                 Jeanine

Last Saturday I met with three other talented teacher-authors to form our new local group, Long Island Loves TpT.  I am super excited to be teaming up with these ladies to collaborate and share. The best part is we all live within a half-hour of each other so meeting will not require lots of preparation, such as buying plane tickets. We are all so happy.

Our first meeting was quite productive. We got acquainted, discussed some general ideas, and listed things we would like to accomplish in the future. One BIG goal we have is to host a meet-up on Long Island--probably in Suffolk County. Our target date is this fall--probably in October.  If you think you might be interested, please leave a message on my blog with your email address and you will be notified with all of the details when our plans are set. You can also sign up for my newsletter. All of the details will be published there and you will be sure to stay informed.  Our goal is to plan a great meet-up for Long Islanders and anyone who wants to join us. We would love to meet all of you.

Leave me a message if you are interested to receive more information.

Main Pick 3 Graphic April

Welcome to April's Pick 3 Party hosted by Marissa from the Inspired Owl's Corner, Lisa from PAWSitively Teaching, and  Ashley from Just Reed! It's April!  Welcome spring! So happy it's finally here!  We've had some wonderful days with great weather, although the last few days have been super windy, rainy and just miserable, but that should calm down soon and then all will be well! Time to start working in the garden.  Spring break is over for many but not everybody. Some districts have not had Spring break yet so they still have that to look forward to. Whether your break is over or not, April is always a beautiful month. I found some cool pins I hope you enjoy!

Earth Day

Now more than ever there is a strong emphasis on taking care of our planet--our only home. Earth Day is April 22nd. Celebrate by reinforcing how important it is for your students to appreciate the home we have and how important it is to take care of it.  I thought this poster was a cool activity because kids can add their own ideas about what they can do to help care for our home!

Spring Break Poster

Here is a fun poster for kids to reflect on their Spring break. When they are completed your room will be bright with spring ideas! The poster can be adapted to be suitable for higher levels. Click on the poster to find the pin and download a poster. It's a FREEBIE!

Butterfly Informational Text

I saw this and thought it was a great model for teaching kids to write informational text.  It is a lower level example, but sometimes I like to use a simple model and explain how it can be adapted for more complex ideas.

Check out my Pinterest feed for more great April and Spring ideas. Feel free to peruse my boards to find some awesome  ideas.

Visit the other participating blogs for more creative ideas and leave comments everywhere to tell bloggers what you think. If you have an interesting activity for April or a recipe or an April-anything-at-all pin, feel free to join the link-up. Have fun!
